Impressive Victorian Art Glass Pickle Castor Green Insert

This is an exceptional and large Victorian art glass pickle castor which depicts a full figured owl perched on the top of the holder and a winged cherub playing a harp on the lower base. The holder is signed by its maker, ‘Aurora Silver Plate Manufacturing Company – Quadruple Plate – Warranted – 1554’. Of equal beauty and high quality is the fact that the insert is a beautiful floral enameled green art glass insert. The insert is larger in size measuring 3 3/4″ diameter. The holder is 13 1/2″ high and the base measures 5″ x 5″.
