This is a quality rosewood Rococo Victorian cylinder secretary desk. This is a great desk that measures only 36″ Width 60″ Height and 23″ Depth. This desk was originally purchased out of a home around Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1960’s. Has been in a collection in Russellville, Ohio. The top section has a cupboard with mirrored doors and carvings. The satinwood interior has an adjustable shelf. When the barrel cylinder is rolled up a lovely six drawer interior is exposed. The desk is made to pull out and has an added feature of being hinged and can be lifted to write on a slant. The base has two drawers with delicately carved fronts. The lower drawer is deeper than the front would suggest. There are cabriole legs on the front and back. A very special Victorian secretary. Circa 1860.
