George Jones wall pocket which features a hummingbird drawing nectar from an orchid flower, amongst lush foliage. Has the English diamond registration mark (Circa 1876) and this piece is one of the featured items in the antique majolica reference book, ‘George Jones Ceramics – by Robert Cluett’ on page 164. This wall pocket measures 11 1/2″ long is 5 1/2″ wide and extends out from the wall approximately 2 1/2″. The white background is a wonderful contrast with the gold and blue colors of the hummingbird and flowers. Can you just imagine how this wall pocket would stand out against a darker colored wall? Beautiful piece that is all original and in excellent original condition.
