T017B Cast Iron Boone Kitchen Cabinet Toy
This piece has several things going for it. First of all it is cast iron with original paint. Second notice the original advertising for Boone kitchen cabinets that this Hoosier has on it. And third what a great toy for any toy collector this kitchen furniture piece would make. This Hoosier stands 8" high and 3" deep at the deepest point, the width is 5 1/2" wide. Excellent detail has been given to the castings of this toy. Notice that there is five movable pieces to this toy. The middle top door opens and closes and is hinged. The bottom middle door is the same opening to the right the opposite as the top door, and then the two small drawers on the right hand bottom portion will pull out and shut. These drawers are above the drawer that is usually a tin lined bread drawer on the big Hoosiers. The last movable piece is the cutting type board that is located right in the center of the surface that represents the porcelain tops. This is definitely one of the cutest pieces of cast iron and again this item would fit into so many different collector's collections being cross collectible to many different categories but what is the best attraction is that it is just so true to detail to the large Boone kitchen cabinets that it was modeled after.
