T022B Studebaker Electric Remote Toy Car
This is a late 1940's electric remote toy car that is styled after the corn picker style of Studebaker car. What is a great find is that this toy is still complete with it's original storage box and notice all the information and graphic that the box reveals. This toy is called, 'Advanced Styled Studebaker - Scale Model automobile - Electric remote control - runs forward or reverse - Steers in any direction - Quality Built for lasting enjoyment - Five Pole enclosed electric motor - Power -Pack remote control - Spring action power switch - Pneumatic steering control - flexible power cable - durable tenite body - permanent colors - bright shiny windows - chrome plated trim - rubber tired wheels. Electric remote control Studebaker scale model car. This toy was manufactured by: Aluminum Model Toys, Inc. - Birmingham, (Detroit) Michigan. On the bottom of the car there is an original sticker that reads, 'Commended by the Consumed Service Bureau of Parent's magazine'. The car it's self is in good all original condition and the toy appears to be all complete. The only imperfection is that on the battery operated remote there was originally a rubber control device and this particular piece has deteriorated over the years. The car it's self measures 8" long and the box is 9 1/2" x 8 1/4", by 3" high. Notice that the license plate is marked with the number, '1111', and 'AMT' (Aluminum Model Toys) '1950.' So, one might perhaps date this toy to 1950. To find this Studebaker remote toy with it's original box is an exceptional find!
