T088B C.I. Vindex John Deere Combine Toy

The finest and most elaborate of all the Vindex farm toys, this amazing toy when pulled along the floor, the cutter and wheel revolve. Painted in John Deere colors, this would be the centerpiece of one's Vindex farm toys. Good original condition with no touch up. The combine measures 13 1/2" long. This toy has only been in one family. We acquired this toy from Tim Mathis of Joplin, Missouri, (James Dale Shields - son in law). Jim Shields was born, Dec. 19, 1924 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He played with this John Deere combine back when he was 5 or 6 years old. He said his folks got this toy for him for Christmas from Isham's Hardware Store in Coffeyville. He just couldn't remember how old he was at the time. Jim passed away, Oct. 17, 2002, in Joplin, Missouri. Tim Mathis had this combine stored in his garage since 1997. The only piece on this combine that is not original to the toy is the man, we acquired the cast iron man from Russ Harrington to complete the combine back to its original condition.  Price $Inquire$
