T123C  Large Steiff Bear Pull Toy

Exceptional all original Steiff pull toy bear on wheels. This is a large bear that measures 23" Height, 32" length and 12" depth from wheel to wheel. Notice that the bear has the marked 'Steiff' button in it's ear along with the tag that reads, 'Made in Germany'. There is also some numbers on the tag that I can not read. There is a thick leather collar on the bear and there is an impressed tag that reads, 'Indiana Dog Tax - 1940 - '19244' on this collar. I think that perhaps someone has added this collar over the years. Notice that the bear has a pull string that causes the bear to 'growl'. This growl definitely brings a smile to ones face when you hear it. This same bear was featured in an antique article by 'Garth's Art & Antiques News - Vol. 2 - Winter 1999 Issue' and we have a copy of this article that has been kept with the bear. The bear was sold at Garth's Auction in 1998. - $3450.
