This little book is an autograph book. These were common pieces around the turn of the century and would be filled with notes and autographs from family and friends at a memorable time in one's life, perhaps a graduation, retirement, or again any memorable time. The outside of this book is covered in velvet and a brass ormolu frame encircles a celluloid picture of a young boy and girl. From the writings that are in the inside, this book was written to a man by the name of Johnny or Jack who lived in Unity, Oregon in the year 1905. This little book measures 6 1/4' x 4 1/2". This book came from a lady at Lake Sara Illinois, who's great grandmother owned these items. She was from the Medford, Oregon area. - $275.
