W082B Mahogany Regina Music Box with 20 Disks
This is an all original Regina Music box that has a double comb and all the teeth are good and this music box is in original working order. This Regina music box is stored in a decorative mahogany box. Notice the attractive barley rope twist designs around the edges of this box that are very eye catching along with the beautiful grain of the mahogany wood. The inside lid of the music box is decorated with a Victorian drawing of a woman encircled by cupids with musical lyres and instruments. In the lower right hand corner this drawing is signed, 'Copyright 1896 by the Regina Music Box Co.'. The inside of the box is also marked, 'Regina - 17939' on the underneath side of where the disks are placed. This music box measures 21 1/2" x 19" deep and at the highest point it measures 11" high. Again, this Regina music box is in working order and it is complete with the crank. We are excited to be able to offer along with this Regina music box 20 different disks. The 15 1/2" diameter disks are marked with Patent dates of 1889 - 1893 and following are the different songs that are on these 20 disks:

We acquired this music box from an antique dealer in the Omaha Nebraska area, and this Regina box had been brought in to this man's antique store by a lady that had just moved to Omaha from the East coast of the United States. This woman had originally lived in Omaha nine years earlier and presently she is in her 50's, she remembers that they played this Regina music box at her wedding years ago.
