W182C  Black Bear Buggy Lap Rope

This is an all original and warm old lap rope that is made with two animal hides. The top covering is that of a black bear and the hide is in good original condition the underside is also that of an animal and it would appear to me to be that of a horse hide with the hair being a much short length. This lap robe would be extremely warm for those cold rides in a winter sleigh or wagon ride. There is also a label on this lap robe that reads, 'The Omaha Robe - Marks Bros. Saddlery Co. - Omaha, Nebr.' The robe measures 59" x 72". Notice that the lap robe is encircles with a felt trim. This is an exceptional old lap robe one that you will be sure to want to add to your own personal collection, or what fun to hang this piece for a décor display in a Western theme setting. - SOLD
