W214B Wooden Shoe Penny Bank
This old toy penny bank has been designed in the shape of an old wooden shoe. The opening where one's foot would go on a regular shoe is enclosed with a brass plate with a slot in the middle where one can insert the coins or pennies. This bank can be hung from a wall as there is a brass hook on the back side of the heel of the toy bank. Notice that there is a name of 'Aalt' on the top of the shoe, perhaps this is a personalized touch of who originally used and owned this toy bank at one time. This shoe bank measures 5 1/4" long and is 1 3/4" wide. This is a fun folk art piece. - $175.
