The insert is a blue cased art glass insert with a diamond quilted design that is decorated with a floral enameled attractive design. This insert measures 4 1/4′ high and has a diameter of 3″. This remarkable insert is held in a signed, ‘James W. Tufts – Boston – Quadruple Plate – 3397’ silver-plated holder which features two little Kate Greenaway full figured girls on opposite sides of the holder. This is a remarkable holder and you will want to note the fully engraved bottom of this holder. Notice the ruffled edge which gives a beautiful and fitting design with the little girls. Note that there is small splits in three different ruffles of this base. One does not notice these until you closely examine the stand. This stand measures 9 3/4″ high and the base is 4″ x 4″.
