Antique Cast Iron Little Joe Mechanical Toy Coin Bank – original paint – Black Memorabilia

Antique, all original, cast iron, Little Joe mechanical bank. Circa 1910. This bank is a John Harper & Company Bank made in England. John Harper established his manufacturing business during the 1800′s in Willenhall, Staffordshire, England next to his foundry, Albion Works. This bank is in excellent working condition. An attractive feature of this bank is the moving eyes which raise at the same time that the hand is raising to drop the coin into the mouth of ‘Little Joe’. The bank measures 5 1/2″ high and is approximately 4 1/2″ wide by 5″ deep. Bank is complete with unlocking key. And on the inside of the bank it is impressed, ‘Made in England’.
