Antique cast iron mechanical bank that features the Biblical story of Jonah and the whale. Made by Shepard Hardware Co., Buffalo NY. To operate you would place a coin on the tray on top of Jonah’s head; press down on the lever on the end of the bank and release. The coin is thrust into the mouth of the whale as the whale moves his head up and down. Measures 10 1/4″ length, 3 1/2″ width and 5 1/4″ height. Has a key.
