This is a unique find that is called the Chef An-ette recipe box holder. Notice that there are five different tin books, which are actually hinged storage units that when you swing the books over reveal 3″x 5″ index cards with hand written recipes on the cards. The different ‘books’ or files are labeled, ‘Breads – waffles – doughnuts’, the second is Meats, Fish One dish meals’, The third is ‘Pies, Cakes, Cookies, Desserts, the fourth is Soups, Vegetables, and Salads, and the fifth is Pickles, Preserves, and Sandwiches’. The measurements of this recipe tin holder is 7″ wide by 4 1/4″ deep and 6 1/4″ high. Note the appropriate graphic design of the chef on the side of the box.
