The canvas bag is 17 1/2 tall” and if you measure to the top of the bag’s handles it is 24 1/2″ tall. Note that this sower reads on the canvas patent 1925 and made in Urbana, Indiana, USA. The cranking mechanism on this seed sower works smoothly. Also, note that on the underside of this bag there is still the original directions for operating the seed sower and there is listed the settings that you need to use when planting different seeds and grasses. Some of the seeds mentioned are, ‘Timothy, Clover, Alfalfa, Lespedeza, Sudan Grass, Red top, Blue Grass, Orchard Grass, Flax or Millet, Wheat, Oats. It states one needs to maintain a regular speed in turning the crank. Begin turning the crank before opening the feed gate and keep turning until feed is shut off.
