Artist signed metal bookends that depict a German Shepherd dog sitting at attention. The artist’s name is Paul Herzel 1876-1956. These are a Vintage Electroformed Bookend Sculptures of two German Shepherd dogs by Paul Herzel, and signed on the base – these were made in the 1920’s & 1930’s. Nice details in the metalwork of these pieces. The measurements are 5″ x 3″ bases that stand 8 3/4″ high.
