Antique Gold Velour Photo Album with Beveled Mirror

This is a lovely old gold colored velour photo album that has a beveled mirror on the front and is very beautiful with silver plated ormolu corners and latch. This album is still full of many old photos. Several of the photos are signed as being taken by ‘J.S. Fritz – 418 N. 6th St. – Reading, PA’, I would assume that this was a studio back in Pennsylvania. This album measures 12″ x 9″ x 3 1/2″. The condition is all original, and very good. The velour is slightly worn is places, however no holes or tears. And also on the latch it is impressed with the following information; ‘PAT JUNE 6, 82. NO. 10133′. Just think that dates this album to the 1882 time period. This is a great piece and the photos date and preserve someone’s history.
