This ice cream mold is in the shape of a shamrock or club. This is a mold from a set of four from a bridge set of ice cream molds whereby each one was fashioned after a suit of cards. This one being the suit of “Clubs”. This is a very unusual mold I have been told that these unusual scoops of this type were made for use in fraternal and social organizations such as the Elks, Moose, Masons and others. Measures 5 1/2″ Height, 3″ Wide and 2 1/2″ Depth. The handle is marked Pat Pend. John W Ladd Co Dist. The mold is in good condition, the one side has the plating worn off. I was told this was manufactured by Baums Metal Specialties , J. Stanley Baum owner. 1523 Wyandotte, Kansas City Mo. The 1927 City Directory List J.W. Ladd at 1217 Benton Blvd.
