Antique Majolica Jug with Pewter Lid – Wedgwood – 1884

A beautiful Wedgwood majolica jug in the aesthetic taste ‘Luther’ design. An unusual and rare example depicting panels of urns with stylised flowering shrubs. The alternating with panels of different styles of basket weave. The pewter lid with porcelain thumb grip is in very good condition. The jug impressed ‘Wedgwood’ with date code for 1884, moulded registration number 8072 (also for 1884) and painted pattern K3450L . In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A large and impressive piece Measures 9″ height base is 4 1/2″ Diameter.
