Antique Oak National Cash Register Company Filing Case File Box

This is a unique all original oak case that measures 14″ wide by 11 1/2″ deep and is 5″ high. Note the original paper label on the interior of this file box that states that this case had the capacity to store 200 credit customers. The paperwork encourages that this credit system originally contained paper envelopes one for each customer, for holding credit-slips. It takes the place of a ledger in establishments where a limited amount of credit business is done, and where the proprietor does not wish to be bothered with keeping a ledger. The credit slips are placed in their respective envelopes, each envelope bearing the name of a customer. On the interior each of the sides is 6″ wide. Notice on the front of the filing box there is gold lettering for the word, ‘National’.
