This is a very nice quarter sawn oak roll top desk with raised bevel panels in the original finish. The desk has a nice interior with several small drawers for storage. The tambour S shaped roll pulls down with ease hiding the desk top. This desk as an unusual feature where the sides of the desk are hinged so that the desk could be open when working in the old ledger accounting books. The drawers all have carved handles and there is a file drawer on the right side. Desk measures 50 1/2″ Height, 35″ depth and 50″ wide. Circa 1900.
