Antique Victorian Oil Lamp Baboon And Lion Pattern Late 1800s to Early 1900s

This unusual oil lamp features molded baboon and lion heads in the clear glass of the lamp. The lion heads are on the reservoir or font and the baboons on featured around the base or the foot of the lamp. Note that the chimney also features molded lion heads in the glass. This is a remarkable oil lamp. This lamp came from out of a Missouri person’s personal collection of over 300 oil lamps. We hand selected this oil lamp out of this massive collection. Circa 1890’s to 1900’s. This lamp measures 6″ by 6″ on the base and to the top of the chimney it stands 18″ high. Note that on the burner reads, ‘No. 2 Queen Anne’ and on the turning knob to raise and lower the wick it is marked, ‘Scovill Mfg. Co. – Made in USA’.
