Exceptional Victorian walnut sewing table that has a unique rotating turtle shaped top that conceals divided sewing notion compartments to keep one’s sewing essentials close at hand. The interior of this cabinet has been made with Rosewood and white ivory knobs. Notice that there is even a pin cushion on the underside of one of the divided compartments. Measurements are 25 1/2″ wide by 20 1/2″ deep and the table is 29 1/2″ high. The interior of this table is a fine example of quality craftsmanship, but it is not to be overshadowed by the equally beautiful exterior of this walnut sewing table. Look closely at all the craftsmanship demonstrated on this stand. Both walnut and burl walnut have been used, unique stylish carved legs that support the pedestal base, that features a remarkable diamond cut pattern design on all four sides of the pedestal. This is a piece that will not come available very often, it is a unique and one-of-a-kind piece. This piece came from out of a sewing collection that we received from a collector in Kansas.
