This antique quilt is filled with pastel spring colored fabrics and is done in the desirable and beautiful Grandmother’s flower basket pattern. This quilt dates to the 1940’s and came from the Evansville, Indiana area and was quilted by Vada Swaffer Rutter is what we were told. This quilt is larger and measures 77″ x 68″. The stitching per inch on this quilt is approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch. Notice the attractive scalloped edge that is highlighted with a contrasting pink almost fuchsia color on the quilt’s binding. This is a beautiful quilt and the flower baskets along with the bright colors make this a quilt that would be especially fun to display during the Spring season!
