This antique stoneware pottery planter has four feet that support this piece. Notice the wonderful embossed signature on this piece that identifies this as ‘The Western Stoneware Co. – Monmouth, Illinois’ company that made this piece. Along with an oak leaf in the center of the logo. The condition of this piece is excellent original condition. It measures 10 3/4″ high by 12″ wide in diameter. The top opening diameter is 9 1/2″. In the Schroeder’s antique reference book it states that with the ‘Co.’ being a part of the signature on this piece that this dates it to being made prior to 1906.
