Mule Entering Barn Mechanical Cast Iron Bank

Exceptional all original cast iron mechanical bank that is an exciting action story. The donkey will raise forward kicking up both hind feet and swing the coin forward from between it’s hind legs, in a reaction to the dog that pops out from beneath the porch floor. This bank brings a smile to one’s face when you see it in action. This bank measures 8 1/2″ long is 5 1/4″ high and is 3 1/4″ wide. On the bottom this bank is marked ‘Pat’d Feb. 2, 1875’, on the circle where you can empty the coins and on the bank its self it is marked, ‘Pat’d Aug. 3, 1880’. Exceptional original paint on this J&E Stevens mechanical bank. This same type of bank is featured in the O’Brien Toys reference book on page 172 in the 10th Edition. –
