National Hand Held Vacuum Cleaner with Eagle Decal

Early hand held vacuum cleaner that has its original detailed spread eagle decal still intact. This vacuum was made by, ‘National – Lanning Stone Sales Co. – Philadelphia and Chicago’. With a patent date of Dec. 26, 1911. On the shaft there is a guarantee that reads, ‘This vacuum cleaner is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and material for the period of one year from date of purchase. Oil through top holes. Note that you hold the vacuum in one hand and pump the vacuum with the opposite hand. This piece measures 40″ high with the handle pump depressed and is approximately 7″ in diameter at the widest point. What a fun piece this would be displayed with the eagle decal showing.
