Antique Collection Tin Advertising Peanut Butter Tins – original condition (9)

Antique Collection of nine different Peanut Butter advertising Tins that are each in original condition. Each tin has their original lids. This collection was put together by an avid antique collector in Illinois and we are thrilled to be able to offer this set for sale.
The set consists of
1) Sweet Girl Peanut Butter Tin – Scarce, early tin litho 1 lb. peanut butter pail for Sweet Girl brand (Geo. Rasmussen Co., various large Midwest cities) featuring wonderful color graphics, with children at seashore images on the backside of the pail. This tin measures 3 3/4″ high and diameter of 3 1/2″ diameter.
2) Peter Rabbit Peanut Butter advertising Tin Pail – Scarce, early tin litho 1 lb. peanut butter pail for Newton Tea & Spice Co.’s “Peter Rabbit” peanut butter, featuring great images of Peter Rabbit and animal friends all around. Strong colors and an excellent detailed tin. This tin measures 4″ high and is 3 1/2″ diameter.
3)Jackie Coogan Brand Peanut Butter pail. Scarce variation tin litho 12 oz. peanut butter pail for Kelly Co.’s Jackie Coogan brand, with great movie scene images of silent era child movie star actor all around (note: he played the kid in J.C. Fields movie as well as many other leading roles and in later life became Uncle Fester in Adams Family series). This tin pail measures 3 3/4″ diameter and is 3 1/2″ high.
4) Armour’s Veribest Peanut Butter 12 oz pail tin. Unusual, small 12 oz. size early tin litho peanut butter pail for Armour Co.’s “Veribest” brand, featuring colorful and highly graphic images of nursery rhyme characters all around. Clean, bright and excellent overall condition. This pail measures 3″high and is 3 1/2″ diameter.
5) Squirrel Peanut Butter 26 oz tin. Unusual 26 oz. size, pry-lid Squirrel brand Canadian peanut butter tin (Canada Nut Co., Vancouver, Canada) featuring great image of trademark squirrel eating peanut. This tin measures 4 1/4″ high and has a diameter.
6) Buffalo Brand Peanut Butter Advertising Pail. Early tin litho 1 lb. peanut butter pail for Buffalo brand (Hoyt & Co., Amesbury, MA) featuring attractive image of Co.’s trademark buffalo. Clean, bright and exceptionally nice. This pail measures 3 3/4″ high and has a diameter of 3 3/8″ diameter.
7) Toyland Peanut Butter 16 oz. Pail – Tin Peanut Butter Pail – Toyland -. Peanut Butter 1 pound pail by the E.K. Pond Co. in Chicago. Pail comes with the original lid and bail. Tin is in very good condition. The graphics are great with the marching band that includes the elephant, bear, camel, monkey and clown. Measures 4″ height and 3 1/2″ diameter.
8) Peter Pan Peanut Butter Tin. Early, 11 oz. Size pry lid tin for E.K. Pond Company Peter Pan brand peanut butter. Clean and excellent original condition. ‘Continental Can Co. – Chicago’. This tin measures 3″ high and 3 1/2″ diameter.
9) Fi-Na-St First National Peanut Butter Pail – One pound tin litho peanut butter pail for First National Stores FI-NA-ST brand featuring attractive image of grocer on both sides. Tin is clean and bright colors and excellent look. This pail measures 3 1/2″ high and is 3 3/4″ diameter.
