This is a beautiful piece of Rookwood pottery that is signed by the artist, ‘Caroline Steinle’. This vase dates 1905 and depicts a delicately done scene of grapes on a vine. Excellent original condition on this vase that measures 6 3/4″ high, top opening is 2″ diameter while the widest diameter of the vase is 3 1/2″. There is a partial paper label on the bottom and the vase has a high glossy glaze that adds to the beauty of this vase. Caroline worked for Rookwood from 1886 to 1925. She became a decorator for Rookwood in 1892, and was later assigned to being in charge of the color room. Note that this vase is also marked with the number 900D on the bottom of the vase. This is a beautiful piece of Rookwood pottery that you will want to add to your own personal collection.
