Antique all original Smith Bothers melon shaped art glass syrup pitcher with gold enameled floral design. This syrup is complete with the attached metal hinged top and handle. This piece measures 6″ high to the top ball finial, and is approximately 2 1/2″ wide across the melon base and is 4″ wide from handle to opposite side of the syrup. Notice the varying gold coloring that has been used in the enameling which makes for an attractive look. This piece is in good all original condition.

Smith Brothers glass was made frm 1874 to 1899. Alfred and Harry Smith had worked for the Mt. Washington Glass Company in New Bedford, Massachusetts, for seven years before going into their own shop. They made many pieces with enamel decoration.
