Antique Oak J and P Coat’s Spool Cabinet – Glass Display and Roll-top Sides

This is an Oak J andP Coat’s Advertising Spool Cabinet with two sides that feature roll up sides to expose the thread and the two opposite sides display the thread behind glass to view all the different spool colors. This oak spool cabinet is in original finish. This piece would have been used in a country store to dispense the sewing thread. The spools would be loaded from the top side and then dispensed from the lift up doors on the bottom and the roll up side sections. This cabinet measures 16 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ and it stands 23″ high. This cabinet will rotate and turn freely on the base. Circa 1900.
