Stenciled Bentwood Child’s Chair Red – made in Appleton, Wisconsin

What a cute little child’s chair, originally done in a red color with stenciled decorations. This chair still has it’s original manufacture label on the bottom that reads, ‘Appleton Line – Appleton Toy & Furniture Co. – Appleton, Wisconsin’. This chair has been personalized over the years and on the bottom someone has painted the initials M.E., this chair was very special and important to a young child at one time that they wanted their chair personalized. The original gold and black pin stripping on this chair is quick to catch your eye and is a nice highlighting feature. The only altercation that I can see is that the middle spoke in the back of the chair has been repainted and possibly replaced over the years, and at the same time someone touched up the left hand spoke with this same red paint. The rest of the chair is still all original and in original condition. The chair measures 29″ high on the back and the seat is 14 1/2″ high from the floor. The seat is 12 1/2″ wide and 12 1/2″ deep. This is a cute old child’s chair that would make an excellent addition to your antique doll collection or teddy bear collection and sit your favorite dolly in this chair.
