Antique Melotte Cream Separator Advertising Tin Sign

This original tin advertising sign measures 23 1/2″ wide by 17 1/2″ high and was made by the ‘Shonk Works – American Can Company – Maywood, Illinois’. The sign is identified in the lower right hand corner. The sign advertises a Melotte Cream Separator that states was Imported from Belgium. This sign reads, ‘Come In and See My Sanitary Melotte – Imported from Belgium – Has White Enamel – Milk and Cream Chamber.’ The sign does show some wear but has appropriate patina for the age and what a great subject matter with the dairy related theme.
