Toleware Dome Shaped Decorative Metal Box

All original toleware box decorated with a gold and red floral theme. Excellent original condition and the bottom is wrote on and it reads, ‘Made in Italy? Henry Ford Museum collections. This piece came from the Henry Ford museum collection and it measures 9″ x 4 1/2″ and stands 7 1/4″ high to the top of the brass ring  on the lid when it is in the upright position. Toleware refers to kitchen-related objects created from metal, typically tin or thin steel, and are often in decorative styles such as Arts and Crafts and Pennsylvania Dutch.
