They are dated 1927 on the litho label. Box itself is made of wood with a sliding top made of a thick fiberboard. Lithographed label is pasted and still about 90% present. Inside are two layers of hardwood blocks in varying shapes and sizes. I have not completely removed them to count them as I don’t think I would have the patience to figure out how to fit them back in the box properly, which would be a puzzle in itself! I would ESTIMATE about 40 pieces however. As you can see, they are architectural blocks, unpainted. Some wear to the slide top, nice aged patina. Box is sturdy and excellent for display in any antique toy collection!
