Victorian Cranberry Pickle Castor – Rogers & Smith Holder

All original Victorian pickle castor with a beautiful cranberry inverted thumbprint insert with a featured floral enameled design. Of equal beauty is the silverplated Rogers Smith and Company – Meriden, Connecticut #221 marked holder which features a cupid and bird sitting by the bird’s nest on the top of the holder and incised around the base of the holder there is a floral scene complete with birds and a spider’s web. This holder measures 12 1/4′ high and has an approximate diameter of 5″ across the footed base. The cranberry insert is 3 1/2″ diameter and is 4 3/4″ high without the silver-plated lid.
