John Rogers Statue Figure ” Neighboring Pews”

This statue figural group was done by John Rogers. This has been one of the more popular pieces. Mr. Rogers described the group in his catalog: ” Two ladies have come late to Church. The gentleman behind them is showing the younger one the place in the hymn book which has made the older woman indignant at the preference he has shown. The boy in the front pew is amusing himself by putting on his father’s hat and gloves. The local atmosphere of a typical New England village church. Measures 19″ Height, base is 16″ x 12″.
