This is an all complete 1928 unused calendar that features a beautiful young woman posed in a stylish pose with the light reflecting on her over her shoulder through a stained glass window. This calendar was given out by Electric Supply and Engines – 38 Lake Street – Owego, New York. – Phone 461. Note that this calendar also advertises Westinghouse – Mazda Lamps. The calendar is signed by the artist Gene Pressler. In the lower left hand corner this calendar is marked Westinghouse 1927 and in the lower right Printed in the U.S.A’.
Gene Pressler was an illustrator who worked in New York at the early part of the 20th century, Gene Pressler worked in an Art Deco style that was prevalent at that time. It is thought that he worked for the Pompeian Company who made calendars and women’s cosmetics. Gene Pressler was Born in 1893. This calendar measures 9 1/2″ wide by 15 1/2″ high.
