This is a Vogue Doll that was made by Vogue Dolls, Inc. and this doll is called ‘Ginny’. Ginny is a hard plastic doll complete with several original Vogue outfits, accessories and many extra outfits. This doll measures 8″ high and note how cute with glasses and original accessories. Doll has the original Vogue paper labels that identify her as the Ginny doll. Note that inside there is also an added bonus of a Vogue cardboard box that looks like a suitcase that holds ice skates, outfit and pearl necklaces. This suitcase will store all the outfits and the Ginny doll. There is so many outfits that you will have limitless options for dressing this doll.
Note that the doll is marked on the back of the head and on her back both, making her an earlier doll with this marking.
In 1951 an 8-inch plastic doll was introduced, and it was christened Ginny after Grave’s daughter Virginia. Over 50 regular employees and up to 200 home sewers were employed to make the costumes and ensure distribution. Sales rose steadily throughout the 1950s.
