Antique Amphora Vase with Full Figured Owl – Beautiful

Signed Amphora vase with full figural owl perched on the top of vase. This vase has been done in earth tone colors and gold highlights. This vase is 12 3/4″ high and has a diameter of 8 1/2″ at the widest point. The top opening of this vase is 2 1/2″ diameter. This is an exceptional vase one which well done with an exceptional subject matter and the choice of colors is very appealing. The bottom has the engraved ‘Amphora’ signature and this piece is marked ‘4109’ and also the number ‘3’. This owl vase is shown in the Amphora reference book on page 117, Plate 169. in the book, Ceramics from the House of Amphora by Richard L. Scott. Circa 1900.
