Antique Blue and White Jug or Pitcher Relief Signed Charles Meigh

Exceptional early molded in relief mythological semi nude earthenware jug or  pitcher that is signed Charles Meigh & Son and is dated June 13, 1856. Also note the masculine north wind type face at the base of the handle which then ascend upward as a cat tail plant and depicts a crane with it’s bent neck at the top of the handle. This pitcher is completed with a pewter lid made by James Dixon & Sons. This piece measures 11 1/2″ high and is 7″ wide at the widest point. The very bottom is 4 1/2″ diameter.
