This ship is named the “Oregon”, Pat APLD FOR is also on the side of the bank in raised lettering. This bank is in the book The Penny Bank Book by Andy & Susan Moore pg. 130 #1450. We have never had this bank before in the green color. The battleship Oregon helped bottle up Spanish Cervero during the Spanish- American War in Santiago Harbor, Cuba, 1898. The bank was made shortly afterwards. Made by J. & E. Stevens US, circa 1891-1906. Oregon Ship Bank. Measures: 5″ tall x 6″ long x 2 1/4″″ wide. This came out of a collection in Kansas.
