Antique country store tin spice storage and dispensing cabinet that advertises ‘McCormick, Behnke and Company Spices’. Notice that on the very top of this decorative tin cabinet there is wordage that reads, ‘Made by Norton Brothers, Chicago’. This tin has decorative details throughout the entire piece making it very unique and then there is the featured scene on the front of the man and woman with glasses raised as if celebrating a toast. The rolling lid to this tin advertises, ‘McCormick Behnke & Company Spices – St. Paul, Minnesota’, and there appears to have been a place on this same lid to insert the particular type of spice that this cabinet held. This tin only measures 9 1/2″wide by 6 3/4″ deep and is 11 1/4″ high. This is a fine example of an early country store spice tin, one that you will not want to miss adding to your antique collection.
