This antique crazy quilt has been made with several different silk fabrics along with other fabrics. There is a Bible scripture on one of the pieces of fabric that is Genesis 31:49, ‘The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.’ There is also two different blocks that have dates. One of the dates is 1897 and the other is 1899. This quilt measures 70″ x 58″ and has wonderful stitching done throughout. This quilt is an old top and the backing was done in more recent years as the top was so beautiful and was needing to be used and enjoyed. An amazing piece of art that dates back to 1897!
