This beautiful arts and crafts double handled copper tray is marked by its maker Dirk Van Erp – San Francisco and is a remarkable piece of hand hammered copper ware. This is a double handled tray that measures 13 1/4″ by 10 5/8″ and stands 1/2″ high. Circa 1920.
Dirk van Erp is widely considered the most important metalsmith of the Arts and Crafts movement and was active in Oakland and San Francisco, California.
