Antique Pitcher & Bowl Set Plus Soap Dish

This is a beautiful three piece set of a large water pitcher and deep water basin bowl and we are thrilled to still have the soap dish with the drain insert and the lid. All of these pieces are identified on the bottom with the makers name, of S.F. & Co. (S. Fielding & Company) – Stoke on Trent, England and I assume the pattern name is Riga, as this word is also identified on the bottom of the items. The basin bowl is larger and measures 15 3/4″ diameter and is 5 3/4″ high . The pitcher is equally beautiful and stands 13″ high and from the handle to the spout is 11″ wide with the diameter of this pitcher being around 7 1/2″ diameter. The soap dish is 4 3/4″ diameter and with the lid on is 3 3/4″ high. All of the pieces are decorated with a detailed floral decoration and has gold highlights throughout. This set would date to the late 1890’s to the early 1900’s. Condition is excellent with some crazing in the interior glaze and appropriate wear on the gold. We are also giving you a fourth piece with this set it is the chamber pot, however there should be a lid on this piece, and the gold on that handle is worn from usage. This is one of the finest antique pitcher and bowl sets that we have been able to offer. Look closely at all the detailed work in the floral designs.
