Antique Signed RS Prussia Iris Handled Small Ewer Pitcher

Exceptional RS Prussia mold called the Iris handle, Mold 585. Notice the handle is the Iris flower its self. This 7″ high ewer has been decorated with pink rose flowers and gold leaves with highlights. The bottom is marked with the red ‘R .S. Prussia’ signature. The base is 3″ in diameter. This is one of the most desirable and rarest of all RS Prussia molds with the beautiful Iris Handle Décor on this RS Prussia Tankard. No finer example exists of the rich decors and molds of this early 1900’s fine porcelain. The stunning Iris handle runs from the very top with the open Iris flower to the base of the Tankard. With a scallop and flared top and a flared and slightly blown out base it is hard to imagine anything more beautiful. Heavy gilded gold has been used through much of the décor with most of the handle all gold, except the Iris at the top, which has heavy gold accenting. Additional gold accenting graces the top areas, rim, and base areas. –
