Arts & Crafts Cape Cod Shop Brass Fire Starter Kit

All original fire starting set that consists of the pumice wick, the brass container that stores the whale oil, or kerosene, and then there is a brass tray that holds these two items. This set is from the early 1900’s and in fact there is a patent date on the bottom, which reads, ‘Cape Cod Shop – Trademark – Patent May 2nd, 1916’. 
The measurements are 6 1/2″ high by 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ on the bottom of the holder. The pumice starter is 11 3/4″ long, while the tray is 7″ x 7″ across the feet. The underside of the brass tray is marked as well with the, ‘Cape Cod Shop Trade Mark – Patent May 2nd 1916’. Excellent patina and note the interior punched out nail head designs that encircle the top and bottom of the brass holder for an excellent arts and crafts look. –
