Antique original cast iron penny or coin still bank that is a character figural bank of Billy Bounce. This bank was made by Hubley Manufacturing Company out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. There was also a Billy Bounce bank made by Wing Mfg. Company out of Chicago, Illinois. Which was usually more colorful in clothing. Billy Bounce was a comic character that was depicted between November 10, 1901, thru December 3, 1905. Note the raised lettering on this bank that reads, ‘Give Billy A Penny’. This character bank is number 15 in the reference book, ‘Penny Bank Book Collecting Still Banks’ by Andy and Susan Moore. Moore’s book references this bank to 1906.
